A long awaited hometown brewery and tap room that can boast of it's craft beer and perfectly suited interior.

Over the last decade, Findlay Brewing Company has owned the craft beer scene in the Findlay area. In 2015, the time came for them to expand their brewing and tap room in an attempt to better keep up with the demand for their beer. Once they secured a large building in a prime downtown location, what was once just a dream started to take shape.

KHID developed a floor plan within the constraints of their building that maximized the brew area, designated space for a fully operational kitchen, as well as a sizeable tap room. With the desire to give Findlay what it was expecting in a brewery but with a unique, purposeful twist, the designers at KHID conducted "research" of numerous breweries in the Midwest. It quickly became evident that the design needed to hinge on the beautiful stainless steel tanks being visible from the tap room. The red of the existing steel structure of the building became the inspiration for the signature color moving forward, which was paired with a complimentary dark green. Warm natural wood elements, most evident in the custom bar top, were carefully crafted to balance the otherwise harsh, industrial elements of the building. The exterior metal siding was painted a striking black to increase visibility for Crawford St. patrons.
